Russia Has No Legitimacy To Impose Sanctions On Iran Since September 20

All parties to the nuclear deal have rejected US unilateral sanctions on Iran. “We have to deal with a US administration that is not ready to accept even common sense,” said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

After the JCPOA Joint Commission met in Vienna, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the media that there was no legal justification for the US to impose sanctions on Iran from September 20.

He said the other signatories to the deal were China, Britain, France, Germany, and the European Union. Thirteen of the 15 members of the UN resolution tabled at the United Nations on August 20 either opposed or abstained.

He said that the United States had lost the right to take any action in this matter by unilaterally separating from Dell in the year 2118.
